The idea of chamber music was to allow for performances in smaller places. People would have music played in their own homes or a palace court to entertain their guests. Of course nowadays small string groups are very often used at Weddings.

A string duo consists of Violin and Cello, trio consists of either 2 Violins and Cello or Violin, Viola & Cello. A string quartet consists of 2 Violins, Viola & Cello. All are excellent for almost any event and can offer many styles of music from classical to Pop through to Jazz and Bollywood. It can either be at the forefront of the event or works just as well in the background to create a relaxed atmosphere. Pop music takes on a Classical twist whilst still retaining the recognisable tunes and riffs.

Our groups have performed at lots of weddings but have also recently performed on a soundtrack for a short animation by artist Simon McKeown called 'Ghosts' for Channel 4. We have also appeared on film soundtracks and television shows and most recently for the TV adaptation of David Walliams 'Billionaire Boy'.

Prices start for the Duo from £250 Trio from £350 and Quartet from £450.

The repertoire is always growing so for an up to date list please contact me and see my repertoire page as well. Songs that are not listed are often easily arranged so please ask if you don't see the song you really want. This may incur an extra fee depending on the level of complexity.

Escafeld Quartet at Magna Wedding Fayre 2016. Poor quality sound as it was very busy and it was taken on a camera!
